air filter?!?

i am 15 and have a nova project, i dont know much but enough. i wondered if i would be able to fit a box air filter like off a astra or corsa to my nova so that i can fit a cone filter?? is this posible???

If you got something like a 1.2 or 1.4 carb (Im just saying them coz thats what Ive had) then you could get a sip box (Think thats right) Lol, Off a Vauxhall Cavalier & piping & then just put a cone filter on. Like this:

i think its a 1.4 carb! it has a pan air filter but does tht mean anything? as u can probably tell im new to all this stuff

yea! thats the filter i hav at the min. i was going to get a bolt on but wanted a cone becoz there alot cheaper. lol. and i aint got that much money to spend.

and you cant fit a cone filter to a carb model so youll need a bolt on one :lol:

spi's also have the mother big air filter on top.

does it have a mechanical fuel pump by the top cambelt pulley?

no because the box shown is the corsa spi box and has only 2 srews

so will not fit on a carb

a cavalier carb box will work and the one shown in the pic up there IS a cavalier one as its got 3 holes on the top

Only thing new in my bay is the K&N. Had to replace the rocker cover gasket so whilst i had it off i buffed up the rocker cover, bit of wire wool and some carb cleaner worked a treat! Same with the oil cap!

Baxter's on the other hand, sheesh! x ammount of Samco hose sets, looks like the rocker cover, cam housing, manifolds may have been removed and sprayed? Not sure though! Beautiful though!
