mig is easiest and cheapest way. altho make sure you get a big bottle of gas instead of those tiny crappy things

MIG - use a smallish set - upto about 150amps with no bigger than 6mm wire. Thoroughly clean all metal of paint, seam sealer and rust else it will spit and fart about leading to shite weld quality. Do short bursts of about 1 - 5 seconds duration. If the weld sits on top of the metal you are trying to weld like a lumps of bird shit and you cant see clearly that its melted in properly turn the power up. If the hand lance seems to be being pushed away all the time by the wire firing out too much turn the wire speed down. If it constantly burns through and makes holes shorten the bursts/turn the power down and maybe the wire speed up. If the wire burns back up into the nozzle jamming it turn the wire speed up. Should sound like the crackling of frying bacon if its about right
