Evening all. I want XE power and I am trying to get together a list of all the parts so I can go about getting them in time for an early summer conversion. Maybe once the list is finished it could become something for the 'how to guide' or summat!?

2.0 16v XE

F16CR for rapid acceleration

Strengthing kit......what, where and how much?

Engine mounts......same again

Drive shafts, CV's hubs etc.......same again (whats with the inners and outers?)

Shocks and springs, bushes etc.......same again

Brakes 256mm ATE for GTE Astra is what I have fitted already, so they should suffice.

I am wanting to convert my GTE, so as far as I know I am okay on the fuelling side of things, apart from getting a beefier pump maybe? Also my GTE used to be an SR so guess I will need the 22 spline GTE shafts then?

Lets go then

F16CR for rapid acceleration - meh you'll soon get board or sitting at 9million rpm on the motorway and even more so when that flashy car u've just wasted up to 120mph passes you doing 130

Strengthing kit......not really required - what is required is the entire engine bay gets stitch welded along every seam

Engine mounts......u can use standard vaux rubbers or fit competition ones - i have competition ones and am removing them as i really dont like them - waaay to stiff, you will need a mount bracket kit which lowers the engine - www.valvers.com do them quite cheap

Drive shafts, CV's hubs etc.. your gonna need 22spline gte shafts with mk2 cav 1.6 inner cv's

Shocks and springs, bushes etc...... decent suspension kit is a must and u MUST get proper 2.0 rated springs, XE novas handle shite, they will handle worse if they dont have springs with uprated poundage to handle the heavier engine

Brakes 256mm ATE for GTE Astra - yer these are ok, fitting nova GTE servo and some braided lines might help tho if u havent already

fuel pump is identical to the astra one

if the f 20 is from an astra its still a cr anyway so will be ideal.
