that cant be right as when I originally done a car for my mate it waas on brand new ebc discs and greenstuff and they worked fine, have heard of some calipers beign a pain but had no problem with mine

well i know with new disks and pads mine were a ball hair off my astra gte wheels which are 5.5Jx14

the SR steels are 4.5 or 5J so at least half an inch narrower

u may find they will fit due to the steel being thinner than an equivilent width alloy so u might be right

it dont matter what width wheel you got its the dimensions, why do you think the made the astra gte wheels 14" cuz they dont need to be bigger, so i cant see how they was tight with ur wheels

err if the wheels narrower there is less space inside it?

ie distance from hub to outer edge will be smaller on a narrower wheel?

the reason they fit on 5J steels is because the steel is thinner than the alloy so there is more room inside
