urgent 1.4sr engine in to 1.3sr shell

buying a 1.3sr but the engines blown body is excellent want to fit my old nova engine in to the sr the engine is a 1.4 sr

wot parts need changing to have the 1.4 engine in the 1.3sr shell are the gear boxes compatible and the clutch?? iv heard that the ignition is diffrent in wot way and wot needs changing?? wot other problems are there to over come as my mechanic is wanting this information many thnks matt

its a straight swap, you can use your gearbox ect...., possibly the easiest conversion to do.

Im not sure if the ignition is different or not, but just to make sure get the coil off the new engine.

just been told if the dissy cap is orange on the 1.4sr engine i need to place the 1.4sr coil in the 1.3sr shell ?? that sound about rite to you guys n girls

if the 1.4sr dissy cap is black then there is no change??

Yeh think that what you said is correct. If the engine needs a orange cap dissy then fit that and wire the 1400 coil and module into 1300 loom.

Split the box fron the engine, disconnect everything, lift the engine out and throw it away like the Increadable Hulk, stick the 14sr in, bolt her up, reconnect everything, run over to your old engine, take off the dizzy cap and leads and carb and inlet, stick the dizzy on the 14sr and send me the carb and inlet please. Thank you. :D
