640 manifold

on the manifold theres 3 threaded hole. One for the vacuum for the clutch, on for the temp sensor and a third. This i know is for a coolant pipe however, how do you fit it to the manifold with it being a threaded hole instead of a pipe? Can someone post some cloase up pictures etc?

There is a fitting that has a screw thread on one end and a pipe fixing on the other that is also hollow. I have one on my car. I have taken a piccy but it dosent show it very well. I will try and find a piccy for you.

is that fitting present on the original manifold or do you have to source it else where? if so where can you get it from?

To be honest I can't really remember. If it did come off of the orignal then its easily spotted.

where did you get your manifold from?

I had 3 threaded holes on mine.

1 for brake servo, 1 for temp sensor and 1 for the coolant hose to attach to.

I had to go to scrap yard and get the water fitting off an old car.

Works a treat though.

can you remeber what make of car you got it of snowface? I got my manifold from online tuning....not the best quality but it'll do! Does anyone have one spare lying around?

yeah, i got it from an escort. Just unscrewed it from its inlet manifold and into my T40 inlet.

I got mine from tuning aswell.

at work today (vaux garage) i phoned irmscher uk and spoke to a guy called tom ( i think ) who was arround when the nova sport was being made. And guess what hs sending me one of these FOC because vaux sent 500 of them after irmscher had made 500 due to lack of supplies. How lucky am i! Theyre also sending a list of all the available parts and alternative vauxhall part numbers so i may scan the info for everyone to use. Hes also sending me all the jetting info and set up instructions. Very useful. Thanks for your help guys anyway.
