Hi chums,

Looking for some advice from those who've replaced fron panels.

Sel Imperial are doing a lower front panel - one with and oe without cross member.

Whats the cross member?

The only difference I can see is a small rectangle area on each side where something probably locks into it for welding?

Or is it some reinforcing bar behind?

one has the large steel box section that the tie bars attach to (the with crossmember one)

the other only has the front "plough" section of skin

which bit is rotten?

Ade,

I am sure I got a front panel with slam panel and cross member all in one from Autoscot in Paisley for about ?70 IIRC.

It was cheaper to get it all in one instead of buying seperate.

Suppose it depends which parts are rotten!!

the front lower panel is just that the one with the cross member has got the big box section bit as well on the back

As far as I know I only need the front skin - however knowling mu luck I'll remove the front skin and find the box section rotten to feck.

I had some plates welded in round the tie bar section a couple of yrs back so I'm guessing that's the box section. Might be worth replacing the whole lot.

:?

For ?20 its not bad - think I get 10% discount too for being on Novaload
