Interesting... so how much exactly are these alike to the mk2? Identical apart from panels/trim?

YEP... its basically just a modern day Mk2 astra mate lol... Well it must be or then valver engine wouldnt go into it.

I thought nexias had the glass bits at the back of the rear quarters? Not the crappy plastic bits like the Asstras had?

Some of the nexias come with very very similar looking engines to XE lumps.

i.e I saw one down at the scrapyard with what looked like a C16XE 16v in the front of it, however it'd had a bad front end collision.

Can anyone shed any light on the similarities in the engine ?

yep there easily based around the mk2 astra, same as the daewoo espero was based around a cavalier lol

I do know that most of the daewoo engines tend to blow the head gaskets out of the engine for a laugh if that is any help..

seen an article in TV a whila ago with an XE'd or LET'd nexia.

Apparently the engine mounts are very different so putting in 2.0 16v Vauxhall engines is quite a big job.

I remember that... although the cars look quite similar on the surface they're actually quite different mechanically.

coz novas actually look good are vauxhalls and it makes them faster and after i wrote it i thought someone would say something about novas havin big engines in.
