really bad engine problems

my engine is really starting to anoy me now. when ideling it seems to be ok just under 1000, but if you turn on the lights or heater the revs drop and nearly cut out and if you dont rev it it will eventually cut out. Also when driving along and you come off the revs out of gear the revs drop really low then cut out.

when accelerating hard sometimes it takes a while to go and stops pulling at 5000 but then sometimes it clears its throught then pulls right through the rev range. in 5 gear it does not go above 5000. could this be the ecu?


I've changed the battery, vacum pump, tried adjusting the idel but does not make a difference.

could it just be the timing as i have recentley just put a new head on.

renew the dizzy cap, rotor arm and HT leads (unless its a dis pack engine lol)

try adjusting the dizzy timing back to orginal, and if yours is a carbed engine make sure you have all the vacum pipes on correctly.
