I recently put a 1.4 engine in to replace the 1.0L engine that was in it.

I have a pierburg carb with no return so I kept the 1.0L tank.

I am getting a strong smell of petrol after 10 minutes of running and when it is cold it cuts out at junctions until it heats up.

I am looking at getting a 32/34 webber carb to replace the pierburg.

Will I need to change the fuel tank to get one with a return or should I be okay?

Is there anything else I will need?

Cheers
Colin

both the 1b1 and 2e3 pierburg have returns.

a Weber 32/34 doesn't and is better than both.

so will that mean that certain pipes will be required to be blocked off for the weber then?

Would I need to get a pressure regulator or something? or would I be okay with the set up I have?

Cheers

may be a good idea to get a pressure regulator.
