Is a 1.2 gearbox closer range than a 1.3? Ive got a 1.2 engine which is tatored and a 110bhp 1.3 which gearbox would give best bottom end but not loose all top end and towndrivingability (if thats even a word, lol).

Which 1.2 box? 4 speed/5 speed? Whats the final drive etc etc. There are a few variations so more info would be needed.

It's a 5 speed from a j plate flair. That's all the info ive got mate if its any help??

look on the end of the box - the gearbox code is stamped on there

u can see the W418 next to the earth strap

my guess is the 1.3 box will be w418 and the 1.2i box will be w394

the 1.3 box has closer ratios if this is the case

Alrite, ill take a look later. What does all the f10/f13 mean?? Just wondering wether to stick a 1.4 sr box on as that is closer than the 1.3 methinks....
