Hello, I'm new to this forum! Not quite used to it yet though as I am always on SaxoSportsClub forum! :)

Before you all start slagging me off cos I have a Saxo VTR, don't worry - I am actually after a Nova 3-door new shape to use as a 2nd car, while keeping the Saxo. I have big plans for the Nova when I find one!! :)

Thanks for the nice comments, I thought all sorts would be fired at me!! I've always liked Nova's, but when I have the opportunity to afford something like a Mk2 VTR, I had to get one :) But now I want a Nova to play about with and modify...problem is Mum and Dad say theres nowhere to put it!!!

Yeah it would be boring wouldn't it. Anyway, does much work have to be done to get 17s (or even 18s) on a Nova?

17 = quite alot of arch rolling/cutting, maybe get ur rear axle moved so its pefectly equal both sides.

18 = nightmare i would expect

evenin n welcome.

make sure offset for wheels is et45-49 (incase u didnt know) - prepare 4 major chaffing on above sized wheels - rolling rears n probly fronts necessary - if lowered may need to modify arch size (flare em) :)wot mk2 u have in mind? 1.2/4/2l?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotamy!

I have superb power from my Saxo :) so a Nova 1.2 would be okay for me to keep running costs down, but it must not be a really slow Nova. I've heard 1.2s are quite nippy once fitted with a exhaust and induction kit?

As for the 17s, guess I'll have a lot of work to do - that suits me just fine :)

Saxo??!! (Sharp intake of breath)

Lol, only Joe King

As regds wheels, the larger they get the more hassle they are and bigger the bad effects on performance. Do you want to pose or do you want to be fast? Best compromise =16"s I'd say

I want 17s for the Nova, not bothered about it being fast - i only need to get in my VTR.....
