Ste_Novas old red MK2 is finally dead, got hit in the rear when stationary by a woman driver

before anyone asks am mates with the person that hit me so no claims going through at all despite suffering from whiplash, completely her fault didnt see me stopped + the 30 odd cars in front :(

i had the same with some old guy, slammed into me at a junction claiming he didnt see me. Luckyly i managed to bent mine back out.

she had been passed a total of 1 week
i was stationary and she didnt manage to slow down much, just panicked and brakes locked up from damage would estimate 15-20mph?

shes hit you lot harder than that, i'd say about 30+. I was hit about 20mph an all it bent as the boot bit that it fixes to not the arches.

problem being this nova (before i had it) has already had a rear end shunt so wouldnt be v.strong plus didnt have a spare wheel so wheel well collapsed mate
^ yep, I've been rear ended at about 20mph and it just made a dint in the rear panel... nothing like that above!

bad one mate...... :? I think the towbar woulde'nt have helped things either, it's taken the floorpan with it by the looks of things. i remember a good few years ago when my old B reg SR was shunted from the rear :(

big t cut.... took my dad 4 days... i did have new wings and bonnet as the old ones were rusted through :o

Looks quite bad good job it wasnt a new car. Oh well another one dies.
Not being funny but I think looking at pics from its life I think its death was a little overdue.

The original Nova SR, with old school Recaros and front bumpers, they lost their character after that..... :? this was another SR I had about 6 yrs ago, It was de badged & reprayed,& was given a Janspeed 4 branch manifold & system, along with spax TA II adjustable front struts with sport ones on the back and cross drilled disks & lowered by 50mm.

it was dead when i got it 3.5 years ago for ?75.... it's proof you can polish a turd 8)

well she obviously cant use those rather tasty legs to drive, I'd like to conduct my own investigation please to see if she can do any other tricks with them and put them to better use

the nova was past its sell by date by a country mile ... but the engine still ran strong ..
the stuff i could remember what to take off got stripped, some stuff i needed got left on though unfortunatly ...
the enging may possibly for sale soon too
