yo; some biatch off msn sent me a load of files/programs i opened one called killing frog or summat - think it was a .pif file - it downloaded; saved it to recieved files as usual; and came up as an ms-dos program.. :| durr. anyways i opened it; it tried to run ; flashed windows about then my pc froze. i reset and it dont seem to be all hunky dori. rekon she sent a virus; that one goin round? an msn one? my tiniternet works and most but some things arent right..

try and update your virus definitions mate and do a check. I just had someone attempt send me a file called "me on holiday", i wasnt speaking to him at the time, refused it and asked if he was online, no reply.

hmm, ok well what im gettin most frequently is not all links or pages open on the web. and if i try to log into messenger i get this; sry if its a bit big..lol

yeah.. i found it now. its that freakin' virus.. bollocks. ok , im off to bed for now - but ill on the kill morrow morn!! :evil:

i downloaded tht file the other day and ive had no problems at all mate

It is a virus, very similar (if not the same) as the Funner worm (http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_128750.htm). Stinger (http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/) or AVG might be able to remove it; if not then its possible to remove it manually but it involves changing registry keys.

As for MSN; yes, it can refuse to let you in without updating, and thats the right message for it. Going to help > about should tell you what version of msn you're using. If in doubt, go to www.msn.co.uk and re-download a new copy of messenger.

She hasn't sent you it, it sends itself.

it got sent to my computer too. i used norton anti-virus to get rid of it.

i got it too but i saved it into my docs for future bastadness haha

and peester how many icons on your desktop :lol:
