My webber 32/34 carb seems to be flooding, so it won't start unless the car has been switched off for about 2 hours, (guess its taking that time for the float chamber to drain.) Anyhow tried adjusting the float levels but done no good.
Anyone know where I can buy a fuel pressure regulator online (cheap as possible, i've spent alot of money so far) It needs to have a 3.5psi outlet. I'm currently using the std mechanical fuel pump which i heard gives out around 8.5psi probaly why the carb is flooding. Any help appericated, thanks.
IIRC the mechanical pump should be sound, it supplies the required amount of fuel for carbs

no its not 'Sound' on a weber as the weber has no Return like the Pierburgs.

give them a call and get a Fuel-king one. (Most double as a filter).
a regulator is a must really on a 32/34, just like Weber/Dellorto 40's.[/url]

Could get an FSE boost valve. They are fuel pressure regulators are they not? and they can be adlusted so just order one that comes set at 3.5 psi. And they return to normal from vacuum quicker. Icould be very mistaken on all of that. By the way they are dirt cheap, well bout 30 quid on ebay.

Do you think its possible that the pressure from my std pump could be flooding the webber carb?

I dont really know bout carbs myself, but if your new ones dont have a return, then if too much goes in, whereas with your old carbs it would go back through the return, now it is just flooding the carbs yes, so you need to regulate it to a flow your new carbs can take as they cant get rid of excess. if that makes sence......

thats exactly what happened to me. Pressure was forcing fuel out of venturi at a steady trickle and going into manifold.
Fuel-king Fuel pressure regulator will totally fix this for ?25.

Not sure about FSE but i think they are for high pressure Multi injection engines (40psi+) so are not suitable for this.

From looking at my fse i think it comes at 4.5psi and goes down to three under vacuum or whatever it is. but the one posted above looks cheaper and is obviously tried and tested by other dude. go with that.
