Redline Rumble

I was at Santa Pod on Saturday for the Redline Rumble. It was a good day, lots of nice mota's. All the Redline lot were there with their cars and Laura and Alana (Redlines models) were there too !!

It was a bit wet so there was only enough time for about 2 hours worth of runs. top time of the day wast he twin engined R5 who did 1/4 mile in 12.00 seconds narrowly beating a the Cosworth Escourt in Redline this month who ran 12.02.

was going to go cos im only 1/2 hr away but i knew it was gonna be raining so didnt bother lol. Did you run your car mate?

I don't think the cossie beat it ? the 12 sec run was one of the last runs before it started raining again about half two. the last run of the day was supposedly at 3. so maybe.

I didn't run mine coz I just fitted a new head gasket on friday. didn't think it was a wise idea to rag it down the strip straight away.

There was a few nova's running, 3 16v turo's were running about 15 1/2's

lmao at the campervan that ran a 23sec 1/4 mile !!! hahhaahha

oh and there was an old beetle that whooped a sierra cosworth !! it was unbelievable.

plus two metro's that were killing nissan 300zx's, escort cossies, even beat a skyline. 13sec 1/4 mile in a metro !! didn't think it was possible

I managed one run and got a 14.7 at 97mph in the drizzle in my nova (black Turbo),
My car was spinning most the way down the strip!!

I went, my car was in the Redline show enclosure just outside their tent. The silver one with the type-k bumper, anybody see it? Alana was parked up next to me in her boyfirends cossie. :) The Novas were good up the strip, the Beetle made me laugh too. Good day apart from the rain.

yep was there, was a top day, pitty weather was bit shite, yeh the r5 did post fastest time, i stayed right to the end, even sore the cossie go so they was no chance it beat it.

The metro's were very rapid, quite funny really!!!

anyone see the manta, could'nt go down without snaking everywhere!! quite funny!!

the camper was awesome, posted 160db+ in the drag test!!!

My mates Astra was in the Redline Enclosure in the corner, purple MK3 with GTI-R scoop

Cheers people, glad u liked it, i saw the astra, very nice. Those fecking Metros were quick as you like, the beetle did have nitrous. Me and my mate were wandering round before the strip action began and came across it, had a bit of a laugh at it, then noticed the fappin' massive nitrous bottle in the back. We knew it was gonna fly up the strip, but when we saw it kill the cossie, i nearly fell over laughing.
