Alright people - just wondering what sort of exhaust systems do u all have on ur novas, if yous go provide pictures or comments would be well apreciatted

at the min ive a 3inch janspeed back box off a corsa.. which aint much note off her at all.. and it hangs down abit.. mountin doesnt help put it up... also theres a blow out on the pipe after the manifold i think.. and Im not sure if that would pass m.o.t so going to go buy a full system, because in time id be doing it anyways - but in need of one now... so ideas and comments welcome

cheers beaney :D

I'm running a magnex GSI system, tailpipe changed by powerflow. But as discussed its requires a little work to mate up with an SPI manifold.

Sportex and Ashley exhausts systems are good cheap mild steel exhausts.

I had a peco bb2 back box on mine - i know, i know  - but to be honest it sounded really nice, and didn't "fart" or sound hollow like a lof them do.

My friend has a cat back Magnex with 4" tail on his GTi6 and that sounds terrible! Its ok on tickover but all through the rev range it just sounds hollow, like someone farting down a plastic water pipe lol....

I am hoping mine will sound quiet deep

I do have a better picture somewhere, but this is my Sportex 3". Great sound on idling and acceleration, great value for money!

I got a Janspeed 3" back box and *i think* stainless from the manifold, never really had a look. It does sound really deep but at revs under 2k some ppl say it sounds like a diesel

So really there isnt one exhaust that stands out from the rest as everyone likes whatevers fitted to there car.

I was gonna ask the same question but that other bloke beat me to it.

You can get 3 different Nova gsi engines for example, get 1 piper full system exhaust and fit it to each of the engines in turn and I gaurantee it will sound different every time!

And that goes for all engines and exhausts!

when I chose mine I looked at price style etc.

Going very slightly off topic......

I've just removed this from my SR

It's a powerflow back box with a Scorpion Imola 4" outwardly rolled tip. To my amazement I have a receipt for ?160 (fitted) for this.

My bro used to have a big bore 4 on his 1.2 and it sounded quite nice for a cheap exhaust.
