What do you think? Could do with abit of a clean, but silver's good for hiding dirt lol. Now all fully working after fitting a new loom aswell :D

Looks alright mate.

Is it a carbon bonnet? Wheels suit the car pretty well, what sort of money am i looking at paying for a set of those?

Dont do the carbon 'look' dude.
Get it sprayed the same colour as the car, will look ten times better.

I wasn't trying to do the carbon look honest :oops: just liked it when i put it on. I've thought about body-colouring it for a long time and sometimes i think it'd look good and other times i think it makes it unique :lol:

Anybody fancy photo-shopping it for me? I find it hard to imagine it body colour.....

No not carbon :oops: Just sprayed Ford panther black.

Astra gsi alloys, about ?80-?90 for a good set, maybe cheaper depending on tyres/curbing. Not too bad quality pics considering they were done on my phone i thought......

I paid ?130 for mine with good tyres on,but now they are a bit worn,adn wank,but im useing the wheels i recon as track wheels..

Right enough, i reckon M3 Door mirrors should stay on M3's abd the spoiler's a bit over the top, but i suppose its part of the kit. Would look worse on a Standard car.

I kind of agree about the mirrors. I still have the original mirrors-I bought the M3's off Will.F. I wasn't planning on getting M3's, but Wills were already in star silver so i thought i'd give them a try.

It's funny really, but i kind of wish i'd kept the gsi front rather than abyss-i guess its true what peeps say about staying standard :lol: I quite like the mondeo spoiler though, think it looks good :o

Wheels may look good anthracite. Either that or get them a shinyer silver/alloy. Any ideas? The photoshop on the bonnet still stands-anyone? :wink:

Yes very true sir. It looks alright, but it's about an inch too wide so sticks out abit at the sides :roll: I've seen someone else's abyss bumper that's had the reg plate recess smoothed and he's got a square plate offset to the side-looked quite good.

As above, i'm not a great fan of the mirrors or spoiler.... and I don't usually like those alloys, but for some reason they look pretty nifty on yours... a job well done :)

Yes i was thinking of 45 profiles, but i was abit worried about making the ride even firmer! Being lowered 80mm makes it quite rigid lol

Just been out for a drive (after driving about in the 1.2 red saloon!) and it felt like an absolute rocket!!! It felt soooo good, put a massive grin on my face :D And the handling (although not the most comfortable) is excellent!! Makes me feel like keeping it lol. It felt so quick it did make me wonder if the loom and ecu i fitted was chipped-might look into that 8)

i like it but what happens if you break down and need to be towed

Well when that did happen, i had to take my front bumper off!! Quite easy really, just not ideal. Think i'll change back to standard mirrors.

Does anyone else have a really annoying squeeking noise from around their seat belt thing on the door pilar? Its doing my frickin' head in.......

Im not to keen on this one dont like the front bumper and the spoiler but i do like the wheels but not in silver and the bonnet looks rubbish, but if ur happy with it thats all that counts. :wink:

nice clean car but if it was mine id take the mirrors spoiler and front bumper off cause its looks like sum chavs little project. the wheels suit it alot

8) them wheels make your car look a million times better than when it had the venoms on it. agreed on the bonnet, i think it would look better colour coded but its up to you at the end of the day, do it how you like it (done a good job upto now :+: )

Thanks for that 5_door owner, i think it would look pretty good body colour looking at that. I was thinking about taking the mirrors off, so i guess you lot have decided me on that!!

I disagree about the front bumper though-i don't think it's chav like atall. I went for the abyss because its quite subtle. If i had a delta bumper THAT would be chav :lol:

Have to agree mate, Get rid of the mirrors, Get the bonnet repsrayed silver. & if it was mine Id put the standard GSi front bumper back on & get rid of the rear spoiler.

Make it look original GSi, Just lowered alot & nice astra GSi rims. Smart.

Look much better i must admit. I've just cleaned it aswell, looks awesome but i've noticed some surface rust on both the back wings :cry: What's the best thing to do with them? It's not new wings time, so should i just rub them back and then get them sprayed at the bodyshop? Is it possible to do it DIY stylieee??

/\ /\ just snd it back to bare metal then put some kurust on (chemically changes the rust) then primer it your self and when you get the bonnet sprayed ,the guy will already have mixed some paint for your car so he'll have a bit left over ask him to waft over your primered area's then when you get it home T-cut it into the old paint.

Not a bad idea that, cheers. I'm really still in 2 minds as to weather i'm keeping the nova or going for a bmw or vectra. If i decide on keeping it though i think i'll get down the bodyshop and get a price for spraying the rear wings, bonnet and magnum rear bumper. Would look awesome with the magnum rear and body coloured bonnet me thinks.

I wouldn't need to T-cut it would I? Surely it'd be nicely blended in by the bodyshop?
