Is it necessary to strengten the bay if putting in a 1.6 turbo lump in? If so which way does everyone recommend........ seam welding the bay or putting in a kit? Decided that a 1.2i is just girlie and wanna start preparing for the refit.

if u use standard 1300 flywheel on a F20 you'll need a custom clutch plate

if you have a 1600 u can use a 2.0 8v or x20xev flywheel, clutch and clutch plate which will mount streight up

Yes u will need to strengthen the bay due to the 1.6 turbo running about the same power as a 2.0 plus i recommend the kit coz its just easier to fit.
