Whilst changing dash's I decided to run in all the wiring for my up and coming ICE install and have hit a bit of a dilemma. Where should I put the disc changer.
Do I put it in the boot where it is away from opportunistic theives?
Or do I put it in the glovebox (where it fits beautifully) for ease of use etc....
This ones got me stumped.
Wot do you lot reckon?

I'd vote glovebox too... getting to the boot each time to change a CD can be a pain

As long as you bolt it in good it should be ok

I'd say boot, the whole point of having a CD changer is that you dont have to keep changing CD's

Would do but I have those dodgy "rocking" seats and the last thing I want is to crush the unit!

iv'e got mine on the little shelf under the glovebox. it needs a liitle notch cut out of the shelf to get it to sit flat but the changer is hardly noticeable now. leaves the glovebox free to have a ps2 aswell.

if youv'e got subs or plannin on gettin some then don't put it in the boot coz you'll end up havin to move it due to the bass causin it to skip.well i did anyway

hehe same thing i was thinking! the glovebox is better for a ps2 than a cd changer!!! learn from others mistakes. do you really want to have to move the cd changer when you realise that you need a ps2 in the glove box? see told you! not the glove box.

anyone with a half decent sub and amp wouldnt put it in the boot as the vibrations make the cds skip all the time, glove box is a far better option in my opinion + as a bonus it gives your girlfriend less space to shove her crap!
