Custom exhaust

I wanna get a custom twin exit exhaust for my Nova but before I do I was wondering what size bore would be recommended in order to future proof it (when/if I get a 1.6 16v or 2.0xe lump)?

Thats a good one mate, often wondered the same for my 1400i, i got a 4 branch but its dead small. How many boxes should be on it as well? just a back box or would i need a middle box too?

Dont quote me but i think the best bore is to have a 2" bore down the middle coz anything more will cause it to rattle on the underneath of the car.

if the exhaust is made right you can have 3" systems, but they wont go over the axle. It all depends if it is made right though and mounted on good bushes. The size depends on the state of tune that your engine is in, you dont want to go too large as you loose low down torque, but if you are too thin then you loose top end power
