New Dash?

Ive got a g reg 1.2 and i really like it and am slowly doing it up. However i really dislike the dash and seem to rememba my mate from long ago having a diff one from a 1.3sr or summin?! Is it possible to change my shady dash and how hard is it? Cheers, for the sake of my otherwise pleasing car!:)

not sure when the mk2 dash came out, but if you have the mk1 dash you can swap it out for the newer one or even go for a corsa dash or something!! I think I still have a guide somewhere for swapping the dash, I'll see if I can dig it out.

mk2 came out at H reg didn't it?
Mk2 dash looks much better.

If you look through the old pages on the site there will be something somewhere in technical or styling that tells you how to do it.

the new dash came out in 91 or 92. I fitted one a few months back and found it a piece of piss. The hardest part was removong the steering wheel.

perpetualbliss.co.uk have mkl1 to mk2 dash conversion - theres also a huge post in styling forum about 2 clicks pages back (cant think who posted it) but the wiring can be an issue - make sure you label them all.
