Quick XE engine question

How do you people make your engines smooth.. for example my engine is black with nobbles on it and a red spark plug cover.. however, some of your XE's are smooth and colour coded with your cars.. want to colour code my engine but not happy with the texture on it.. i want it smooth and shiny... any help welcome cheers

sounds like urs has been powder coated/sprayed or summat.. erm dunno tbh , but thats a pretty cool mod..like the cav btcc.. i think easiest way wud be to straight swap/replace rocker cover with original silver one.

just needs rubbing down (smooth) and a good paint job and then a good smooth machine polish!
