inserting images?

I was wondering im a proper muppet as its problably really simple! but ive tryed inserting a pic in a post. i clicked on the IMG thing but then tryed pasting an image in and it wont let me!
any one know wot im doing wrong?

yes you need to host it on line then post the property in the post using the brackets.
