Well went to Bruntingthorpe today (cheers Ian :):):) ) for a Redline shootout with some of the fastest street legal cars in the country in attendance.
Managed to blag myself a quick squirt round the 5???mile track in the most impressive car there - badged as Reyland Redline Escort Cossie.
All I can say is WOW!!. We clocked 177mph up the straight (he recorded 184ish best on the day I think)whilst he fiddled with the boost. We then ragged it back round the rest of the track and this car flies. Its no stranger to 100mph cornering, fantastic brakes, endless grip and just raw power laid down securely thru 4 wheel drive.
60mph came up in 3.25 sec (cold damp day starting on concrete) 100 in about 7.5secs.
I'm still buzzing from riding in it:D
Plenty else there including twin engine Renault 5, 500+hp Supra, Skyline,TVR Tuscan,RST's, Evo, Ians Nova ( needs re-mapping)Lancia etc etc.

I went to GTi International on Saturday at an airfield outside of Swindon, there was an Audi, S2 i think? the 4WD ex-rally car?

It was doing 1/4 mile runs in the day down the airstrip, and was hitting 60mph in just over 3 seconds! Quarter mile time was 10.2 seconds!
