Well my mate is a good bloke to know,he works in an electrial outleet(no names as you will see why)

well i said i was affter GT4,asked whens it out he said its this wednesday,oh right,cool...

So i whent down was looking for some DVD-R's got 15 of them for?10 :P

And he said oh i got you copy of GT4 mate,oh yeah,whats this other game like,Mercenaries playground of destruciton?? wicked he said so i though i will have that also..

He scand mercenaries through the till and the dvdv'rs and gave me GT4 fro free :wink: :lol:

Just got in and im going to give it a go in a min..

To be true you would think some of the graphics on this GT are real,there better once again to any i have seen on any pc,or console.. :P

As for the game well,i am strugling to get my B class licence,lol flew through most up till the last two,then its hard lol..

but on the game play side of things once again tis got that reall driving style that so far only the GT games seam to have,it feels spot on,and there is far too many cars on this one,i dred to think how many there are,the tracks look very real,the Nurburgring has the messages on the track serface like the real one :P

Well i will have another go at that dam licence in the morning..

lol my mate had it delivered today - been playing on it tonight. He used his old savegame from GT3 so started out with loads of money :lol:

I did that, it meant I started with 100000 credits :) obviously I had to buy an Evo VII and kit it out as my first car in the game :D lol I've done most of the licences now and have several nice cars.

the game is another one that I think will take over my life!!!! lol :lol:

i saw the rolling demo for it in game and thought the graphics looked just like the ones from GT1 lol

pgr2 has the messages on the nordschlafe track too :op

lol, one of my mates thought the same thing, so he bought a PS2 off ebay yesterday :)



I'd still say the xbox is infinitely better, but so far I am yet to see a game on the xbox that matches GT4 for driving and graphics.

IMHO most xbox games are better graphics. Played pro evo 4 on ps2 the other night and it was pretty toss compared to the xbox version but the ps2 seems to have better game titles

youve not heard about forza motorsport then lol. thats set to be the GTx of the xbox world ;)


its soooo damn hard though, which is good as its realistic, the graphics are gorgeous and you can mod the cars peoperly apparently.

the only thing temppting me to a PS2 was GTA and GT, GTA is out on the xbox now and the GT graphics werent astounding imo compared to sega GT and PGR1/2)

so the xbox won, and im not even tempted to go get a ps2 to get gt4

that's my xbox with it's nice Xectuer3 chip and control panel. :) the lcd screen is basically just an info thing, it shows where you are upto in films when you play them through xbox media center and a few other details.


I've not seen that Forza Motorsport one, when's it out? I'll add it to the blockbuster list :D

john, i need my xbox chip updating, know the suitable people to do it? i CBA to do it myself lol

when you say updating, do you mean you need a new bios or you need whole new chip?

If it's the bios, it takes about 30 seconds to do, if you want a chip and your xbox is a v1.5 or less(basically if it's over about 6 months old) then again, the chip takes only a few mins to fit with a solderless adapter. I have done loads of them now, but made the mistake of getting a new xbox for myself and then finding I had to solder lots of wires as the motherboard is different on the v1.6(still not hard though, just have to take your time)

Im not as impressed with GT4 as I was with GT3. But then again I might not be hitting the sweet spot at the mo.

Talking of other car games has anyone heard of GTR (Simbin) that will be released on the PC soon. Thats another very, very good racing simulation game. I have the demo and have played it to death!

Me and my mate wer playing them tonoight and on mercinaries we had to deliver a massive skud missile to the russian maffia,it took load of fire on the way,but still was in good health,then my mate ran it inot the hanger doors and blew there building up :lol:

We also had a good bash on GT4 good game but might be to hard,as we found it wasnt very easy to earn credit to by next cars to compet in the events..

You can only do it once,the first time you set up the game...

Go in to home,and then its the option on top right carnt think of names its called,lol

go in there it asks you to either press back or start at the bottom of the screen,press start and it then asks if you want to use data of gt3,click yes then you get all your dosh.
