Stay with the 1 litre, its a monster.
But really what do you mean by easy a 1.6 is an easy converions but you need change a few more things that just engine.

depends how much you wana muck about strengthening chassis and what have you.

I still reckon 1.3SR or 1.4 is best bet for a reasonably cheap power gain.

yer 14sr engines can be had for ?80 with gearbox (u need this as its different from the 1.0)

then all u need is a 1.2 or 1.4 carb fueltank and the sr coil and it will bolt right in
