Im thinking of buying twin carbs for my nova, prob webber 40's prob is my engine a bit off a mix and match, its a 2l 8v (seh) bottom end with a Mk 1 GTE astra 1.8 head,,

Im not sure which inlet manifold for the carbs will fit that head, will an xe one fit? or a 1.6 nova one???? Also would Twin 40's the best choice of carb??

Please help...

some ppl would maybe dissagree that you would want 45s. Don't know if it would be any advantage on a std engine though. Any yes webbers are as good as any other carb

I currently have a Twin choke carb off a manta at the moment, not sure wat model nvr looked, it makes her go well...

You reckon 45's would be better??

Ive been offered a set of 40's with 34mm chokes,, but the manifold is the stumbling slock, have emailed demon tweaks to see what they got to say..

have you compared the t40 manifold ports to the ports on your exsiting 1800 head. Could be a good chance they'll match up alright. If so you'd need to see if things like altenator bracket and manifold water flow pipes would be the same.

I havent got 40's yet, was just wondering really if a 40's manifold to fit an xe or 2L would fit!
