A lot of people do.
You ain't got the bother of having to look after the condition of alloys then, steel wheels can take anything.
And tyres are about ?20 to replace compared to the ?50plus for 16/17" tyres.

Gaz-Have a look on ebay mate, always some on there, and they may be local to you, you never know.
