I made a bigmouth with my GSi bumper, i sprayed it grey, but the grey has a very shiny finish. I think what you are looking for is a gsi bumper sprayed with matt grey, with matt grey it will be alot duller so it more or less looks like a factory one which has'nt been painted. A good example would be to look on novaload for the black gsi bumpers, cause they are all finished in matt so it dose'nt look like paint just like orginal plastic ones.

Yeah, Nicks one. Dont really want to spray if at all possibly, with the driving i be at theres a good chance the paint would crack and show the red under it.

Damn right !

first of all, here is a very lonley tree

and here is my bumper

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/j829nick/IMG_0699.jpg

right, i rang vauxhall and spoke to customer care, i was then put onto a person in the mains spare department, he went and checked, and said the "Grey" bumpers listed on vauxhall Dealers computers are now Primered ones.

Vaux dealer said if i order it and risk it not being the plastic anthracite, they'l make me pay for it, and if i don't will not be very happy lol

I got mine from a place near baxter , called www.tuning.co.uk

they have a double paged spread in TV magazine, and the bumpers are Original GM parts, finished in Anthracite Plastic. They even come wrapped in GM printed Brown Wrapping paper.[/img]

Love the spots Johnny, but not too sure about the black indicators, may be a bit too 90's? Maybe spray the mesh Black too. Aside from that, it looks spot on mate!!

Anyone see the number plates on my nova? They're an car test requirement over here!!

Thanks for the tip dod. took me a good 2 and a half months in the evenings to get the bumper big mouthed, plus the bumper was 2nd hand so it needed alot of prep work, riddled with stone chips and cracks.

Well Johnny, i know the score, i've tried to make a big wide mouth item, you know, the whole way up and i've still not finished it yet!! Where abouts are you located anyway mate? I'm in Letterkenny here, call up anytime mate.

I'm up ere in south armagh. Acutally going to donegal @ the weekend, ballybofey, letterkenny is'nt that far from there is it? Anyway its just the amount of filler and the time it takes to get the plastic boxed in and getting the filler to cover up the gaps and smooth it in, when you finish your u'll see its defintely worth it, btw fair play to you doing the really bigmouth one its a hell of alot of work, are you boxing it in or just having the mesh flush with the bumper? Goodluck

Yeah, Ballybofey is 20 mins from me just, you should take a run down hi. Na, i'm boxing it, makes it look better, thats whats taking so long. Its all broken on one side but I'm gonna put a Jap No plate over that side like the Evo's have to hide it all, I've also got some lovely square Aluminium Mesh for it when its finished. But i'm not gonna put it on my own Nova, gonna built a second and possibly a 3rd if i can find 2 reasonable 3drs.
