Engine turns but no spark

Checked all the earths i can think of but no joy

When the ignition is on the two wires that go to the coil are both 12v+
how does the coil earth itself?

ive got power to the modulator also

are both the wires to the coil supposed to be positive?

try to see if youve got spark on the king lead

no spark on king lead means faulty coil/module/dizzy

spark on kinglead but no spark on engine lead means knakcered cap or rotor arm

Right! Still no luck

ECU seems to be O.K. cos the injectors are working properly
THe dizzy seems to be switching O.K. as well

One Fault that i found is again with the two wires that go to the coil
Isnt the current supposed to change as the engine turns over?

something like 0.5 to 1.5 reocurring?
IF its doing that then does it mean that the coil is knackered?

Tried a new coil on it today but still no luck.

can anyone tell me if i got the wires to the coil the right way round?

If you turn the coil so that the lead to the dizzy is facing you,
you have two pins on the left and two on the right
am i right in thinking that the green wire goes to the left and the black wire goes to the right?

And does anybody have any other suggestions as to what might be causing it?

Is it worth doing that paper clip thing on the topbuzz site to see if it shows any faults?

black is normally top left and green bottom right looking at the rear of the plug

so i think u have the plug upside down?
