i want the whole car to look like this (apart from wheels) http://www.novaload.net/features/viewfeature.php?ref=2360
but i need the parts as cheap as possible (im on a training scheme and get 40 quid a week ) and as near to newcastle as possible (i dont have a licence so i need a mate to take me to collect the parts)

Yeah u can cut out the slats I've done it and then i meshed it.
It looks pretty effective imo.
except my stupid cheap mesh is going rusty!
IMO mesh grilles only look good if the bumper has big mesh vents too.
Try ebay, good source of cheap parts. Most sellers will post items if you are prepared to pay for it; however items like bumpers and etc can cost around ?20 to send.

Its really easy to mesh the mk 1 grills just cut out the slates from the inside and then attach the mesh with glue or tie-wraps.

pmsl!!
I had my gte bumper sent to my work place! ....trouble is i work in an investment banking company in london, and our office is an openplan one, i think it was slightly frowned upon by my directors although everyone else found it hilarious that i could actually just fit it underneath my desk!!
