HT leads!!

Can anyone tell me how to check if my HT leads are in the right order? Also if if the compression on my engine is to low how do you sort it? i have a 1.6 gte too

Compression-Use a compression guage, you screw it into the spark plug hole and then turn the engine over and see what reading you get on the guage.
HT leads-Looks in Haynes manual and see what lead goes on what connection on the dizzy cap, the leads should be different lengths so once they are correct on dizzy they should only easily plug onto the correct spark plug.
