4-1 is for power and revs. 4-2-1 is for more torque. Most popular is the 4-1, for track days your probaly just as well with the 4-1 since there's no hills or stuff to make good use of the torque. And revy accerlation is fun anyhow.

thanks very much, there is a big diference beetwen them?

One more thing if i change the standart one for the LEXMAUL one (same 4-2-1 but independent tubes) should i notice some diference in accelaration and revs?

tbh either one will be an improvment over a standard manifold.

both manifolds will make a good difference in power. Just that the 4-1 seems more popular, and probaly be best for racing or the track, where as the 4-2-1 is more for rallying and stuff like that. Also both manifold should have indivudal (sp?) tubes and be much futher back than std manifold thats the advantage over the std ones

I had a 4-2-1, & now have an ashley 4-1 manifold, I must say firstly, Its got a considerably different tone to the car now & much more useable acceleration power.

when i fitted my 4-1 (think its a sportex one) the exhuast sounded alot deeper and give it like a growl at high revs and its a fair bit louder. Anyhow there was alot more pull in the rev range when sitting in the seat with full throttle (shooting back into the seat) My car shot up the revs alot quicker as well, altough the real bonus with the 4-1 is if you have twin 40s, they work really really well together sorta boost each other

I had the twin 40's on already so cant compare but must say it gave a much deeper growl. Acceleration is a bit better but I had the 285 cam put in at the same time.
