Just thought i'd post some pics up of my friends clio, As i think it's a really nice car.

And before anyone says "why's it got viper stripes?" they are a very similar, but adopted (for the better) version of the 172 Cup (i think) stripes that come as standard, the wheels are also from the 172 Cup.

Apart from the stripes, the wheels, it's lowered -60mm on gmax supersport kit, it's got a Peco boxxer System (the expensive ones) but it's a really good car.

i think he plans on getting some very subtle skirts, and a splitter/rear diffuser for it, once he's got them it'l look even better.

PMSL

Yes the stripes do come as standard on a limited editon 182 Cup (the new ones), looks tidy, on of my mates has just bought a 04plate 182 ex-demo car and that has the same stripes with cup wheels and suspension, a very nice car, nice and comfy with the power there too

well all i can say is to me it looks just like what all the other chav's down here drive on HPI,and im sick of it,as they just get big wheels lexus lights a stupid jap slash pipe and a sub from halfords...

Also tell him to remove the"lookilike" mesh fog light's,unless there cool ducts for brack's that is

Scott

Nick
05-03-05, 06:27 PM
they are cool ducts for an induction kit

it was a quick fix before he finds some of the fog lamps.

i don't quite see your point about chavness.

Yep chris, they are really smooth comfortable cars, good to drive as well ! And i think the stripes on this look better as they are a bit thicker and go all the way down the bumpers !

Please stop posting pics.

There was no need to post this, this is a Nova forum, most of the people dont want to come on here and look at Clios. If they want to look at Clio's they will go to a Clio website.

This isn't a dig (well it is) but just give it a rest for a bit, please.

Jim

Lol. I must say for someone with a nice Nova Nick, Your opinion of a chavs car is very low. The clio is definately a bad colour aswell. May look nice in silver. But not my cup of tea.

dan_mk1
06-03-05, 02:45 PM

Yeah the clio williams is 2L 16v as standard, Although would much rather prefer a Nova 2l 16v

16/17, not really...same as most hot hatches...

benji
06-03-05, 10:18 PM
dan, does your clio have plastic front wings? or is that just the williams?

burgo
06-03-05, 10:20 PM
most french cars have plastic panels especially citroen bx's lol

dan_mk1
06-03-05, 10:22 PM
The 16v is essentially the same car as a williams, williams has wider front track, different valves, diesel crank. Thats it, oh an obviously the gold wheels/decals.

Yeah theyre plastic, designed to take a bump of up to 15mph....

burgo

Yeah theyre plastic, designed to take a bump of up to 15mph....

nowt to do with low speed bumping, it's to keep the weight over the front end down, they have a big lump in them. keeps the handling sharp. i knew the williams had them, but i didn't know if that was a williams extra, in with the wider track, of if it was a standard 16v feature. did they do a 16v style body with a smaller engine?

dan_mk1
06-03-05, 10:43 PM
Nope, next one down from the 16v is an RSi, which is the standard RT shell, small bumpers + arches and normal bonnet.

Who told you that? i think its bollocks tbh, like burgo said most cars have em, afaik the base model clios have plastic front arches too....

burgo
06-03-05, 10:48 PM
afaik the base model clios have plastic front arches too....indeed the amount of times ive lent on them at work and thought i had bent them when infact the were just flexing lol

dan_mk1

Hmmm, might be then. But they are designed to take a low speed impact. Ill have a chat with a few mk1 boffs on cs and see what they say....
