View Full Version : Stupid Question... Mk1 or Mk2?

I have a K reg Nova 1.2 Merit plus, but all this talk or mark 1/2/gte/gsi is confusing a newbie like me!!!

What is mine most likely to be? and what am i best looking for in the way of getting spoilers/sides/bumpers??

Right here goes...

Mk1 had square headlights, an odd shaped grill and odd bumpers. GTE is the highest spec Mk1

the MK2 has Rectangular headlamps, nicer front end and smoother bumpers. GSi is the highest spec MK2, same as the GTE really.

This is a mk1, you can see the changes

as for your car, it's a MK2. It should have CL, EW e.t.c ?

As for styling, you can't go wrong with a set of nice wheels, GSi front bumper (like i have - but mines gotta VR6 splitter on the bottom) GSi rooftip spoiler, GSi skirts (same as GTE skirts) and lowered. Maybe an interior from a sports model, SR, SRi, GSi ?

Hmm... gonna be interesting to see what all the novas will look like in about 5 years time, as everyone seems to be doing/recommending the GTE/GSi look... not that I'm complaining, I like it myself, but if all novas had the same look I think it'd be a bit dull :?

the gte/gsi looks is the way forward well it is for me anyway,i prefare mk2s to be honest simply becuase of the dashboards

How come your GSi bumper is grey, weren't they all colour coded, Personally i love the grey but all the GSi bumpers i have and have come across are Colour coded.

I really like ur nova Nick but any one in the now about novas can tell its not a gsi its just the colour that gives it away bt i do like the colour. :wink:

lol to be honest i don't give a toss, because it'l soon be a fair bit quicker than a Gsi.
