Installed my new weber 32/34 carb on my nova 1.2. Problem is when you rev the engine the revs go up high and takes ages to come back down, and when it does it won't tick over, you have to keep the engine alive. It does it all the time, dose'nt matter if the engine is hot or cold. Checked the linkage and its fine closes the throttles quickly with out sticking. There's no petrol leaks on the carb or gaskets, and the vacum advance pipe on the front of the carb is blocked cause my dizzy dose'nt have one. Anyone know whats wrong? at my witts end with it, thanks.

perhaps get it to a r/r and get them to jet it up correctly for you.

Yep get it setup properly mate thats what i had to do with mine..

When i first fitted the 32/34 to my 1.2 it would rev right up to the red and sit there and then sometimes come back down and stall the engine. Its just the jets that are wrong - mine was jetted for a 1.3.

would need to by my own jets, as rolling road is not an option for me, thats why i had to take my 40s off. Anyone point me to a site?

Fitting the carb is easy, takes about 45-60 minutes. I bought the nova 1300 webber carb kit, so all the adapters are with it to mate it to the 1300 manifold and breather. Although the only real problem is getting it jetted. I think the RRP is around ?245 but i got my for ?160 from ebay

Whats so good about the 32/34 webbers compared to the t40 are they more efficent?

not every1 can afford to buy setup and run twin 40s. The little webber twin choke has'nt got as much power but is alot more MPG, and compared to the standard vaux 2e3 carb its alot more power and reliable.

for the people with peirburg 2e3 carbs converting to weber 32/34. does the weber carb need a choke cable? if so where can you get them from etc?

Yes it does, you get rid of the autochoke and use a manual choke.
If you buy the weber off somewhere like here, then you will probably get the cable with it.
I dunno if the cables from a 1.2 carb choke fit.

1.2 carb choke cables fit perfect. That way you get to keep your choke light on your dash.
