Quick 2L 8V question

Ive just bought a 2L 8v nova, It has a 20seh bottom end with mk 1 astra gte head,,,

Only prob is ive spotted its got a F13 gear box, the fella owned it tells me it also has Turbo diesal drive shafts, I thought u needed to use an F16 gearbox with this conversion with bigger shafts etc...

hes fitted the small block gearbox to the engine. not a problem as its only an 8v so without major engine work it wont kill the box. also the driveshafts will be fine. ive got the gte ones which are the same as the TD ones on my xe and they are fine

I didnt think a small block gearbox would fit the large block casing.... The gearbox has been refurbed less than a year ago so should stand the abuse..

it needs some modding to make it fit but its not a hard job
