Having a Stainless System Made this week, car will be running near enough std bhp, only planned big mod is a toke of Nitrous.


Whats the general bore to go for off the XE manifold?

Ive heard of 2", 2 1/4" and 2 1/2"...


What should i go for on my nova?

Well i have 2" its ok but im thinking of ditching a box,or getting 2,1/4"...

Go for 2.5 all day. It wont really make much difference at this stage, but if you get into modding the engine you will need it!

i have 2 1/4 but think it needs to be atleast 2 1/2 to be honest

Chip from Mig ran 100 shot of Nos on a standard C20XE and got into the 13's on 1/4 mile! with a sliping clutch i believe lol.

2.5" seems to be the popular choice, i think i'll have a center box as well as the back box, so the back pressure should be ok!

Where are you getting it done? There is an awesome place in Cardiff who are very reasonable and have done all my conversions....

done the engine conversion myself, my mate helped out with the wiring thou!

Its all running and ready to go, just need exhausts and shafts (shafts arriving 2moro am)

Got the car into a place called Z-Ex in Cardiff, they gave me the best quote.

Is the exhaust place your thinking of called Prospeed by any chance?

I would reckon that Power spee dwould be a better option. Carlie (th owner) will do it cheaper I can gaurantee it!!

ive just got a 2 1/4 system made up and its fine up untill just over 200 bhp so as long as your not going for silly power then that would be fine. 2 1/2 inch systems will be loud too. my 2 1/4 had to have 3 boxes and its stil loud. if you go to big you will loose low down torque on a standard engine too
