to anyone who knows the 1.2is engine, i was wondering if anyone knew what the pot was under the passenger side front arch? a line leads from the3 fuel tank to it, then another line from that to somewhere in the engine, other novas dont seem to have one?

as i have moved it from there (as it got crushed when i crashed the car) i have moved it to under the scuttle panel!

cheerz!

I think some engines had some kind of fuel tank breather vent, i remember reading something about it ages ago, may be wrong tho.

Its an active carbon filter. It has something to with the fumes from your fuel tank and keeping your emissions down. Apparently you dont need it, just block up all pipes except the fuel tank breather pipe.
If you've got the time troll through these pages and theres a better description of what it does if your that bothered about it.
