HELP!!

upon reading a recent post about the centre console in the styling forum (pictured in one of the Milton Keynes cruises in the shows/cruises section of this site) I have decided that I'm goin to modify my own centre console. Problem is I'm havin trouble coming up with ideas about what to put in.

So far I have decided to..
buy gear knob and gaiter which will have an alloy gear gaiter surround to make the gear stick that wee bit fancier. Think of makin a panel that goes all the way to the rear (as far back as the front seats) with maybe one of those floor-based ashtrays taken from a corsa. However I dont let anyone smoke in the back therefore and ashtray would be pretty useless.

Then I was thinking of creating some sort of mobile phone holder and charger (which was planned for the front section, but think now I'll put someit else in instead)

The main problem is tryin to decide what to put in the front. On the photos mentioned above there is a rev counter, but I'm not while keen on that

Therefore I am asking you people what I should have as the "main feature" of my centre console????

Gimme you're suggestions, who idea I choose shall receive a pat on the back :P

I think he best thing you can do is look at modern day cars which have fancy centre consoles for ideas. This doesn't mean to say you should copy exactly what the new cars have as the Nova is now 11 years old, so doing something really modern, might not tie in with the rest of the car :-/ Don't necessarily go with what people suggest, as you might do it and then realise you aren't 100% happy with it. Try and think of some ideas yourself, do a bit of research and see how it goes. Try not to rush into it, as from the sounds of it, you want it looking really good. Perhaps sketch out a few ideas and see what you like.

When I get round to doing the same (me that posted the other post) I'm looking at mobile phone kit, place to hold spare cd's, possibly relocate me clock and maybe leccy windows control box. (have 1.2 mk2 so leccys is upgrade for me). Loads of things you could do - graphic eq's for stereo (dancin lights if thats wot yer into), extra storage, place to hold minidisc player etc...
