What problems would fitting wheels with a deep dish cause? Or how would this be solved? I looking about buying some weller rims for my nova as a hotrod look. The wheels are only 13's 5.5 wide but offset 12, i'm thinking maybe since they're only 5.5 they should'nt stick out from my arches even with the dish? Anyone know anything about this or fitted deep dished wheels before on a nova? Thanks.

must be someway to do it, all the euro novas have them.

im not sure exactly what your asking

they will stick out 35mm more than a std nova gte wheel

they will eat bearings

this is the EXACT look euro folks go for (ie tiny wheels, low profile tires and sticking out the arches) although i'd imagine when euro folk do this they'd use much wider wheels with not quite so lethal an offset but this isnt gonna make a difference to the above 2 statements

So basically the offset is how much the center of the wheel (where you insert the studs part) is to the front or back of the rim. When you say it will stick out 35mm are you guessing or do you work it out from the 12 offset? cheers

These bad boys have an offset of -32mm

those weller rims are lovely, i'm looking the 5.5 13inch white et12 ones.

Anyone know what sorta arch mods would be required to fit them please?

probably not much, you'll need a seriously big drop to even get the wheels in the arch imo

would i get away with just grinding the arch lip, or more complicated like flaring or rolling arches? Sorry for asking so many questions, just that i don't really understand about wheel offsets or arch mods, i can't even understand much on arch and wheel FAQs. Cheers mate.

offset is how far the mating face is from the center of the rim

offset of zero would be cock on center

vauxhalls ET49 means 49mm closer to the outer face of the rim

ET12 would only be 12mm away from the center so the wheel would sit 49-12 further out
