why would you want to split the power to the amp?

for the install, start with a false floor. use the carpets as a template. use 3/4" mdf and get lots of sound deadening stuff, such as foam and matt. a cheep alternative is carpet under lay. its not great but not bad either.

then just wait for the imaginitive spark and wooooo building will comence.

always measure as acurately as possible and measure twice, cut once.

If its bridgeable then its possible, but don't expect it to sound good.

If your subs are the 12" pentagon ones, they're 350W RMS - so you'll need an amp that can output 2x 350W RMS (or near as). Is the sony amp power figure 400W PMPO x1? As a guide, my Magnat Combat 4000 outputs 2000W PMPO x1, and 450W RMS x2 into the sony 12" subs.
