Fuel Tank

Hello all
Have started my xe conversion and everything going well so far im having a bit of trouble finding a gte/gsi fuel tank. Are these esential? Or is there another way around this? What about fuel pump/filter. Any help would be great. Cheers.

not needed, i have a carb tank on mine

As above, you can use the gsi/gte pump on the carb tank but dont go much lower than 1/4 tank of petrol or it might drain when going round a roundabout.

I just bought a gte tank for my conversion for ?30 - put a post on NL wanted - one will turn up soon enuff

theres a gsi fuel tank on ebay at the moment just type in nova gsi fuel tank and it should pop up. hope that helps you mate

u can either run:

a proper GTE tank and GTE pump

a GTE pump attached to a carb tank

or a 1.2i tank with an MPi pump from cav/vectra/astra

first and last one work perfectly

middle one will work ok when over 1/4 tank but below that u WILL get fuel starvation on cornering
