Im running a 2600 watt amp, 1400 sub and a pair of 1000 watt 6x9's.My lights really dim and the battery goes flat quick. Do i need a bigger alternator?? If so which 1? Ive got a 1.0 litre J reg. Thanks

TD alternator or a power cap :)

Alternator would be cheaper. Also worth picking up a TD battery too.
was just going to say get a cav or nova td battery i had one on my sri as i was running alot

alternater from a scrappy bout ?15
battery from a shop bout ?50-60
if you get the battery it will still go flat at some point. the alternater is alwasy a good idea.
get some power caps too, cant really go wrong.

i paid ?80 for my nova td one from motorspares
had to pay it as they were the only place open near me and wanted to go to the mk meet

why have a TD Alternator when you could have one from a DeLorean, think about it
