right, my mum moved my car this morning, so i've just been out to start it after doing some work on it (nothing mechanical , bumper work)

When i went to start it, it wasn't wanting to start, kept on bumping and them dieing, it finally started but it now sounds like a v8. i.e running on 3 cylinders.

I took it out for a run and the enigne heated up, but it still sounds terrible, it also has no power whatsoever and the exhuast is covered in black soot.

The only things i can think of is if my mum flooded it this morning, but it should have sorted itself out in the run i took it for, going to check the plugs e.t.c

anything else that someone can suggest looking at ?

yep, i do not have the time to look at it, i don't even have a plug socket with me at the moment...

plus i was going out biking tommorow, so i think i'm gonna have to use her car instead, that'l teach her

i bet she's been revving the hell out of it an bent a valve lol. Happened on my mates ford escort, just one day started running shit then ended up barely running at all. Decided to take the head off an found that he had bent the valve in about 3 place making a rather cool S shaped valve lol

head gasket? would also explain why its getting the water so hot.

check ur oil.

the water is brown, but it's the anti-freeze colour i think.

it doesn't have any oily traces or film in it, nor does it contain any oily deposits as far as i can tell !

No cream round the filler cap, and the engine isn't overheating nor is the water getting exesivly hot.

I think my mum just flooded it.. it absolutly stank of petrol

if its flooded that badly uve got fuel dripping out then remove the plugs remove the fuel pump relay and crank it for a bit to clear it out
