Just need to blend the middle together and find a way of filling up the gap between the top of the splitter and the bottom of the bumper (black silicon i think) as it's impossible to get it flush
just thought i'd take some pics of it whilst it's still on the car, and not attached to the road or a kirb
I do have some pics of progress as i was doing it, don't know whether an admin is interested in posting it up as a guide, as it's quite difficult to even get it looking like it is.
Overall, i'm really pleased, looks a bit odd being so low at the front only, but it looks really mean when travelling down the road ! However i think i might swap it for a laguna splitter as im not 100% sure about it.. what does everyone else think ?

looks cool mate
i had one of them on my last nova wen it was lowered 60mm scrubed well bad on speed bumps lolol
yep i havn't really driven my car properly, i think even gettin back out of my drive is going to be a problem...
if it turns out too bad i'l just take it off, no harm done
Needs a wash
Hmm.... not sure on that... I think I prefer it to the average laguna splitter, but not sure if its suits the GSi bumper...
yep i know what you mean, i like the kinda slot in the middle tho...... i'm in two minds about it really !
and that's not dirt, it's salt !
im mega offended cant you tell i dont like low cars

lmfao only joking looks good mate just need to get it smothed in
have fun going over speed bumps, looks alright though
well i'm going to pop down to the car wash and have a quick razz into town, so i'l see how it fairs !
TBH there are no speedbumps around my area really, and the ones that are there can be avoided...

cheers for the comments...
unfortunatly the car wasn't very happy at all today, sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders and reminded me of a V8, really don't know whats up with it.... maybe it doesnt like it's new splitter ?

Or it might just be asking for new plugs and leads, lol
Scott
maybe my mum moved it this morning so i think she probably flooded it lol
gonna take the plugs out and see how much petrol is on them :-)
more pics there then nick.
just need to post them on on a few more boards.
lmao
looks really good there mate.
what do you mean ... i see no pics ?
i have more if you want them :-D
lol went to motorworld to get another plug socket (couldn't find mine) and when coming out, the splitter was jammed in against the floor as i was waiting for a gap to pull out...
a guy in a C2 Vtr (finance lol) wound his window down and said "Ah mate, your cars got caught on something" lmao

Nice brembo's, lol
Splitter doesnt look right, doesnt match the side/rear of the car
i'm not too keen on that splitter, it don't follow the lines of the car, it need's to be the same width as the grill and the bumper holes
me too , never been a fan of the vr6 splitter on novas
laguna ones looks so much better
oh well, it looks good when just looking at the front end of the car
i'l end up swapping it for a laguna one when it decides to reattach itself to a speedbump.
at least it's something different from the Speedlines,Gsi,Laguna splitter you allways see

Nick this is the best use of a VR6 spliter i have seen, now the pic shows how long ago this was as karls car has a 1.8,bored out to 1.9 on a single carb, and the bumpers are painted grey/silver..
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andrew.bishop30/novalution/images/billing081.jpg
Looked quite good realy karl.
Scott
Yep that does look cool, i've seen a GSi bigmouthed with the bottom part cutt off as well, then a VR6 splitter bonded onto the bottom.. looked really good.
Splitter was ?20 bought from a friend, they're about 60-80 new i think

I was thinking of doing that when i was fist messing with my body work, but you would need to re'enfoce it some how.
scott
i think even a normal VR6 splitter would suit your car though scott, because of the little flarey bits on the front of your skirts.
at the side's the splitter flares out, kicks out, a similar way to how your modded skirts do, also it'd be roughly the same height - thus looking ace ! here' s a pic of the flareyness i'm on about, and a very quick paint of your front !

i hope you can see what i mean about it all matching up with the lines of your skirts and shape of the flarey bits, i think it'd look good.

lol nice pic nick, but i get you,the reason the bit was added was i had a kit on it when i first got the car,i got it added a kit, with oneoff bits, you see i didnt like most none standard skits so i dd this to them to make it follow through into the line of the bumper..
http://img116.exs.cx/img116/5411/picture2214cm.jpg
I do have a splitter i might add to it though, but im not to fused till i get my splitter that im smoothing into the bumper.
Scott
Gosh, your car looks soo much better now !
i think big mouth bumpers look a little silly with out an i/c behind them as all you get to see other wise is the snow plough which lies beneith
this is how my gsi bumper is done
