Running a big amp for the subs, like maybe 1500w amp that will give you plenty of bass.

Ditch the JBLs. lol. ?40 subs won't get you "big bass". Rockford Fostgate are pretty good for bass, but if you have the money then Cerwin Vega and Audiobahn are good options. Alpine are excellent, but IMO they've never been too big on bass, more sound quality.

Match your amp RMS figures to your subs RMS figures for best performance. From memory your JBL ones are about 300W RMS, so you'll want an amp thats pushing 300W RMS on two channels, i.e. approx 600W PMPO on 2. With my two Sonys @ 350W RMS each (yes I know but i had 1/ tight budget and 2/ i'm not a bass freak lol) I had a 480W (worked out at 150W RMS) Magnat amp... sounded Ok, but then when I upgraded to the 1kW amp (which works out at about 400w RMS x2) it was MUCH better.

get some 15" or 18" subs. then a huge 2000w or higher amp!!!!!

then english lessons, then driving lessons. hehe

just get some huge subs from a specialist compant with a class d amp and away you go.

p.s. it really aint that simple!!! there are afew specialist car audio mags out there. see what they have to say.

p.p.s. there aint much point in huge bass. i prefer clear crisp all round acustics, tbh.
