If you buy a single pulley from Courtney etc would you still need to bash or mod the chassis leg when fitting an XE?
yes
the single pully is only for the bottom pully where some xe engines had the power steering puly

get mr angle grinder out or take to an engineer shop to get the outer pulley machined off, thats all i did.

So either way i need to bash the chassis leg to fit it. Is it worth buying one of these single pulleys or should i just get it machined off?
Thanks in advance

just get it machined off unless you realy into weight saving.
when people say about getting the chassis leg 'bashed in' or 'cut out' it is not for the bottom pulley, it is for the alternator, do it properly (cut and weld)
