Mk2 B-pillar covers in a Mk1?

Can it been done?

I noticed on the Mk2 there is a seatbelt adjuster bar running down the B-pillar but it screws into holes that are'nt on the Mk1

So is it possible?

i dont think the holes line up right, we tried fitting some mk2 ones to a mk1 the other day an it just doesnt want to play at all. it could be down but no worth the hasle
